Paper Vase, Stitching Form

Stitching Form is a sculptural paper vase project that explores the intersection of textile craftsmanship and computational design. Designed without the use of glue, the vase relies entirely on folding, interlocking, and a belt-based fastening system that functions as both a structural element and a decorative feature. Inspired by sewing techniques such as seams, darts, and tension-based shaping, the design highlights the natural qualities of paper while challenging conventional assembly methods. Developed through parametric design tools and fabricated using laser cutting, the final piece is a recyclable, mono-material object. Its visible joinery becomes a key visual and conceptual element, merging traditional craft sensibilities with digital precision to create a distinctive and expressive vessel.
