Recent Works
Architecture emerges as a dialogue between past traditions and future possibilities. Where vernacular knowledge guides parametric innovation. Through layered geometry and digital craft, each project weaves memory and meaning into built form. The projects embody a deliberate fusion of heritage and technology, shaping spaces that resonate deeply with life and evolving design.
About
Silje Tendenes is an architect working at the intersection of computational design and vernacular traditions, with a focus on material-driven and research-based design approaches. Her work explores how contemporary tools can reinterpret traditional knowledge, creating architecture that is both contextually rooted and forward-thinking. She takes inspiration from her own experiences, growing up with Norwegian craft and an interest in digital spaces. She investigates how culture, material, and technology can converge to inform meaningful spatial experiences.

Silje Tendenes was raised along the fjord coastline of Stavanger, Norway, where the dramatic natural landscape sparked an early interest in how environments shape human experience. After relocating to the United Kingdom, her time in Somerset, Yorkshire, Wales, and Oxford deepened her understanding of regional spatial design and cultural context.
